Procedure

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION

You can start your request by email at: Consulate@venezuelaembassy.com.

It is recommended not to purchase an airline ticket to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela until you have received a decision regarding the approval of your application.

The visa issuance process can take a minimum of 3 weeks, excluding investor, courtesy, and tourist visas for U.S. citizens.

  1. STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL TYPES OF VISAS TO BE SENT BY MAIL (EXCEPT DIPLOMATIC AND COURTESY VISAS)

A. Original passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months.
B. Complete the visa application form.
C. Proof of legal residence in one of the countries within our jurisdiction (exceptions apply to citizens of Australia or New Zealand).
D. Copy of the travel insurance certificate.
E. Proof of employment in Australia.
F. Proof of bank account.
G. Photocopy of airline tickets (mainly the outbound flight from Australia and the arrival and departure flights from Venezuela).
H. A criminal record certificate no older than three (3) months. This requirement only applies to applicants over 18 years of age.
I. The visa payment in AUD$ must be made through an Australian Money Order payable to the ‘Embassy of Venezuela,’ corresponding to the Consular Fees as established in Article No. 54 of the Organic Law of the Consular Service.
J. A small prepaid envelope (express post – signature on delivery) properly labeled for the return of the passport.

After receiving approval or rejection of your visa application via email, you will be contacted by email.

 

Visa exemption

Holders of ordinary passports of the following countries can visit Venezuela without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism purposes unless otherwise stated’
